Slurry is produced by your cows and pigs, and stored in an underground tank.Buy the liquid fertilizer in tanks in the “pallets” section of the shop. Liquid fertilizer is used in combination with sprayers instead of spreaders.

Buy solid fertilizer either in Bigbag Pallets or individual Bigbags. They’re the cheapest way to fertilize in the beginning, since the cost for a low-tier spreader saves you money compared to a sprayer. Solid fertilizer is used in combination with fertilizer spreaders.Depending on the type of fertilizer you want to use, different machinery is required. But, you have to do it with half the speed. By using this, you require only one application to reach full fertilization. Exception #2: If you are using manure and slurry for fertilizing, you can activate the double application rate.Exception #1: grass you can only fertilize once instead of twice. For example, you can fertilize the first time after sowing, and a second time after the plants begin to sprout.Īlso, there are two exceptions to the rule: You can fertilize each crop twice overall.īut, there has to be a stage of growth between both applications. To get as much income from your crops as possible, you should fertilize at least once per crop cycle. (Video coming soon!) How Fertilizing Works I don't have issues spreading slurry as I can pull from my farm, but for w/e reason, the manure doesn't work and I don't currently have the space to fool around trying to add an extension to see if it'll fix the problem.Welcome to the Farming Simulator Academy! Today, we show you what you need to know about fertilizer. Thanks for the ideas! I'm not sure if I'll go that route, but I definitely hadn't thought of that. Roll a tank of digestate out, fill your FRC 65 and you are good for several runs. Generally I find by taking the extra step of selling manure/slurry and filling with digestate I come out ahead, but I don't know if that is something you want to consider. With that in mind have you considered selling your manure/slurry to a BGA and then taking digestate to use as your fert -which the FRC 65 can hold. Of course you lose the ability to cap the health/production of your livestock if you don't use straw so trying for more slurry comes with a trade-off which you may not want to accept. I find slurry is far more efficient in application than manure. Originally posted by True, I suppose I left out a few steps that I usually take.
